THREE INTERIOR TRENDS WE’RE LOVING RIGHT NOW

At NICNAC we strive to bring you the most covetable home accessories, sumptuous textures and state of the art furniture. Whether you’re looking to totally transform your space, want to inject some personality or fancy switching things up as the seasons change, we will always have something for you. Whatever your personal style, we can help you get the most out of your interiors with a bespoke consultation. Stuck for inspiration? We’ve pulled together some of the hottest trends we’ve got our eye on at NICNAC…

Comfortcore
After a turbulent couple of years with the pandemic, this interior trend is all about embracing a true feeling of comfort and relaxation in the home. The Comfortcore trend ties in with the desire to practice mindfulness and self care more, in a cosy place that feels safe.

How you interpret the Comfortcore trend is up to you but at NICNIC we believe creating an inviting space which you long to come back to is the true meaning of comfort! We’ve pulled together some of our favourite ways to add a little comfort in your home.

  1. Choose furniture with a soft finish such as bouclé, brushed velvet or this faux sheepskin Medina Chair to bring instant comfort into your home. Follow your heart and choose a style which really makes you want to cosy up! The cocooning texture of our Medina Chair, combined with its playful shape with soft, round edges, really reflects Comfortcore to us.
  2. Contrast fabrics and beautiful textures to make your home the ultimate retreat. Whether you layer soft cushions or drape a soft blanket, comfort is key. We love the faux fur Whitney Throw which is great against different textured neutral tones in either the bedroom or living room.

Art Deco
We love the timeless, impactful Art Deco trend which can make any home feel more majestic. WIth jewel tones, bold colours, geometric patterns, linear shapes and striking accessories, the Art Deco style feels opulent yet refined - never going out of style.

  1. When selecting your home accessories, sharp, striking edges and geometric shapes can create a really impactful look. Bring instant glamour to your coffee table with our Art Deco Lorena Mirror Tray with its linear style and decadent finish. It’s a great way to showcase candles or add trinkets, as a statement piece in your home. Your storage can be stylish too! Materials such as glass and metallics are widely used for an Art Deco feel, we love this Reggie Glass Jar.
  2. Choose a statement mirror in an elegant style which has strong, striking edges such as our Marsia Wall Mirror. You can choose to hang it portrait or landscape, either on a rich, dark background for a moody Art Deco feel or to bring a neutral palette to life with its gold tones.

Warm neutrals
Earthy tones in the home such as rich browns, soft yellows and dusky pinks are great at creating an inviting aesthetic which can even feel feminine if you desire. We love to bring our warm neutral tones together with our home accessories for the ultimate feeling of cosiness.

  1. Choose an abstract piece of art to really make a statement and tie in your warm neutral colour palette. We love this Monnet Natural Nudes Canvas with its rich, earthy shades and rustic finish thanks to the palette knife effect. The gold flecks add a touch of sophistication, while the brush strokes add a sense of drama wherever you’d like to make an impact!
  2. Add an ornament or two to your mantlepiece in these warm neutral tones or create a feature by layering them in your shelving area. The Cora Wooden Shell would look really attractive alongside other ornaments in the warm neutral colour palette or the Mortiz Relic Sculpture is a great focal point for any room.
